I'm just about to tell you about the life of my dog, Joey.
I always ask my dad why Joey barks and starts fights with other dogs. And he said " because they are the jealous type
of dogs". Then I said, "Oh that's why when I was calling this other dog that is a Bichon Frise too, Joey started to
play fight with the other dog in the house."
A long time ago, some of my friends and my mother were going
to (*censored*) Park on a summer day, so Joey could run around in the field. While we were walking there, there
was this Rottweiler (a big kind of dog that is bigger than Joey), that was unchained, well, you know how Joey likes to starts
fights with other dogs. Like he thinks he is the strongest dog in the world. As soon as Joey saw that dog, he
started barking. And tugging on his leash. When that dog heard Joey barking, the Rottweiler started running towards
Joey, but as soon as Joey could bark, Joey's head was in the other dog's mouth. As soon as the other dog's owner saw
what has been happening, he ran over and opened the dog's mouth with his bare hands. Fortunately, Joey was fine and
there were no marks on his body, but my mother was steaming mad at the owner of the dog. But we didn't tell the police.
I am going to tell you about the first time Joey ran away
from me. One summer day in the year 2003, in the morning, somebody had to have taken Joey out because I hadn't seen
Joey in a long time. I check everywhere, upstairs and everywhere downstairs. I felt very frustrated. Then
I got all my friends and family to search the neighborhood for Joey. Brandon (my cousin) and I checked around
the corner for Joey. Then I saw a little white thing moving around in the distance. I called out " JOEY!!!" Then
I saw Joey running in the street. See, my cousin was in front of me when I called out to Joey. So Joey was running
in the street to Brandon and when Joey was 5 feet away from Brandon, Joey turned over to me and jumped in my hands.
One day in the park, Joey, my mother, cousin, brother and
sister, were letting Joey run in the park to let Joey run out some of his energy. There were two other dogs there without
leashes on too. I knew my mom was nervous by the look on her face. When Joey saw that dog, he just ran over to
that dog, and surprisingly, they got along with each other. I think the other dog was a mix with a German Shepherd and
something else. Well, the important thing was that Joey was actually getting along with another dog. When Joey
tried to catch the other dog's frisbee, as soon as the other dog saw what was happening, the other dog flipped Joey over on
his back, and Joey was trembling in fear. I freaked out, I had to push the other dog off of Joey. I guess that dog
doesn't like to share.
I remember when me and Joey were in the park and Joey was
running around alot with me. And Joey got hot and exhausted so we stopped at the water fountain.
At the water fountain, there was a leak and the water was coming out drop-by-drop. It to be leaking for a long time
because there was a big puddle. Joey was so hot, he just sat in the puddle, panting and panting. You could
tell that he was anxious to get some water. He was so cute sitting there in the puddle of water panting. He looked
like he was smiling and his chin was all wet and his paws were soaking wet. My mom was mad because Joey had mud
all over him. Joey was just laying down in the big puddle. We were about to go home so I put Joey's leash on and we
went home.
I can tell Joey listens to me because when I call Joey he
comes to me. When I say "sit", he sits. When I'm sitting down and Joey's looking at my lap, I put my hand
on my knees and he jumps up on my lap. That's the sign language to come lay on my lap.
